Serial casting has been an effective tool used by
physical therapists to increase ankle dorsiflexion range of motion
and improve functional gait. The casting techniques were developed
over a ten-year period of clinical practice and are effective for
managing spasticity-induced foot deformity in children with cerebral
palsy or other central nervous system deficits, as well as adults
with head injury. Our highly skilled physical therapists have
received additional training to perform serial casting. Referral for
serial casting must be made by the physician.
