HANDWRITING WITHOUT TEARS®
Children develop their writing skills through developmental and multisensory experiences in one-on-one sessions with an occupational therapist.  This program addresses varied skill levels from the beginner (printing letters) to the advanced (cursive writing).  Children develop consistent writing habits with materials that promote active learning. 
Initial 30 minute screening required ($35). 
Schedule established after screening.
6 weeks/30 minutes per session
$210 (includes workbook)  

MEDITATION CLASS
You have the opportunity to learn techniques to help you
relax, release tension, and relieve pain.  Learn how to make positive changes in your life.   Use simple but powerful techniques that anyone can learn.  The process is simple and straight-forward—anyone can do it!  You are sure to find this experience worthwhile, even positively life changing!  Please call to register for the class.   
5 sessions; August 4th—September 1st
$75 (donation—will go to one of several non-profit groups—bring your checkbook to the first class)

SUMMER 3-5 Year Old PRESCHOOL CLASSROOM

Groups of 6-8 children, ages 3-5, engage in language-based activities with peers emphasizing socialization, play/concept development, language
facilitation, and sensory-rich fine and gross motor experiences led by an early childhood educator.  Screenings may take place with each participant prior to assure optimal groupings of participants.    
8 weeks (16 sessions—no class July 5th) - $480

“NEXT STEP” 2-3 Year Old TRANSITION CLASSROOM
THIS CLASS HAS BEEN FILLED
This transdisciplinary classroom experience is designed specifically for children 2-3 years of age who receive(d) speech, physical, and/or occupational therapy. It is an ideal readiness program for children entering Early Childhood in a public school district at three years of age. Emphasis is on socialization, taking turns, play/concept development, and language facilitation. The class structure is similar to that found in a typical preschool program.  Therapists with expertise in facilitating sensorimotor, self-help, and language/communication development lead this class.
Limited to 6-8 participants.

Get creative with watercolor, oil pastels, painting, collage, mobiles, and sculpture through a guided but open-ended art process.
  Summer is a good time to bring out the artist in your child!

PRESCHOOL SPEECH AND LANGUAGE GROUP
This group is ideal for children ages 2½ to 4½ years who have good language comprehension and are able to follow basic directions but show signs of delays with expressive language and/or articulation development.
  Groups of 4-6 children are provided with language experiences emphasizing stimulation of sound development, expressive communication, and social play.

THERAPEUTIC LISTENING

Provided by an occupational therapist trained in this specialty, the therapeutic listening approach uses specialized audio modulation with earphones to address attention issues, sensory processing deficits, and other delays in development.
  This program works well in conjunction with a sensory-based treatment approach and is integrated into a home program.  Initial consultation is required; frequency and duration of follow-up appointments are based on individual needs.

FUN & FRIENDS (Social Skills Group)
Children ages 5-7 will learn appropriate social skills to participate in community and social events.
  Greetings, manners, asking for information, and conversational skills will be addressed.  This class is designed for children with Autism or other related disorders who are verbal, have functional understanding of language, and can demonstrate full participation in class.  Children will be screened prior to class to ensure
appropriate placement. 
6 weeks—$200

SENSORY FITNESS CHALLENGE
This group sensory experience is designed to progress gross and fine motor activities that form the basis of all life skills.  Children learn to manage within their environment, play, work with their hands, and socialize with each other under the guidance of an occupational therapist.  This class is beneficial for children with attention disorders, Autism, & sensory difficulties.   
6 sessions—$180

MASSAGE
Massage is not a luxury but a necessity in today’s busy, hectic lifestyle.  The goal of massage therapy at NBT is to facilitate a higher level of wellness and comfort through relief from muscle tension, tightness, and chronic pain.  Receive a relaxing, healing massage from a certified, experienced therapist who uses a variety of techniques to meet individual needs.  Come in for a massage yourself or give the gift of healing touch to a family member or friend with a gift certificate.  Infant massage training for parents and caregivers is also available.
