What is incontinence?
Incontinence is the involuntary loss of urine, and is a common problem for both women
and men. Unfortunately, it is too often a problem that people keep a secret.
There are 3 main types of incontinence, all of which are treatable:
Urge Incontinence - which is the sudden, uncontrollable urge to void
Stress Incontinence - which is a loss of urine associated with laughing, coughing, or
straining and results in a gush of urine with a sudden action or stress
Mixed Incontinence - which is a combination of both urge and stress incontinence
